The most helpful question for this paper would be, Does the first paragraph end with a thesis? Rewrite it below. Does the thesis make an argument about the significance of a literary element at work in the song? What is that literary element? In your own words, how is this literary element important to the writer’s interpretation of the song’s “hidden” meaning?
This is the most helpful because the thesis and tying it all together is the hardest but most crucial part of the paper. The thesis is the part that guides your whole paper and that you try to center all of your ideas around. It is important to have a good thesis because that is what makes a paper good and if you don't have a well prepared thesis it could ruin the intelligence of your paper and could take away from other parts of your paper. Even if you don't have much to write about, if you expand your thesis more it usually helps you write more.
